Scotland is still my favorite place I’ve been, followed closely by Singapore. Edinburgh is amazing – definitely worth a look there for study abroad programs too 🙂

I loved Edinburgh too! Traveling up to Loch Ness this summer I thought I was on a movie set with a green screen! The landscapes are amazing!

I believe traveling has been the best education I ever received. With reference to the US I have only been to North east America so I still have so much to learn lolll.

You should write travel blogs! I’m totally into travelling too… I have a small page on my blog dedicated to just a few of the places I’ve been to. Highly recommend Nepal 🙂

Sounds like a great idea! I’ll be heading to Florida a week from today, and that will be a great way to try out my first travel blog!

You should add to your list: Sydney, Australia; Paris, France; Hong Kong; Rome, Venice, and Florence in Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; Cairo and the pyramids of Giza; and for some really great photography, Santorini, Greece.

Ireland & Scotland (among many others) are countries I definitely want to visit, they’re topping my list 🙂 But then again there is SO much more to see! But I like my own country too, Sweden has a lot of beautiful nature..

    Really like your blog!

I much prefer Glasgow to Edinburgh, I live in Glasgow! The Bahamas are not in the USA. I think my favourite place after Glasgow is Udaipur, but I also love Delhi, it’s a seriously crazy city!

Thanks for stopping by and liking the shell sculptures. I’ve been dying to mount them and finally figured out a way.

Well if you ever want to visit the very far north of Scotland – my door will be open to you Amelia – if you travel 36 miles any further than where I live – then you’ll be swimming with the seals!

    Kindest regards

Thanks for the like on my post – you’re blog is adorable. I think you need to add Australia to that list 🙂

You’ve traveled and lived in many of the same places I’ve been! Hope you get to Tennessee (that’s where I’m from originally–West Tennessee, Memphis) and have lived in Memphis (great blues place, history–wonderful, welcoming people, great restaurants, downtown) and Knoxville — nice place for college grads and a downhome feel. I’ve been to and stayed in wonderful Asheville. Now, I’m in New York! My next dream place: Italy and France. Great blog and hope to see more of your posts!

I would love to be able to travel to so many different places. New Zealand in particular. I’m from Tennessee! You should definitely plan to check it out some day. Chattanooga (where I’m from) has a bit of interesting history.

I wish we could see it all – it is so hard to pick.

I really love your blog! It’s a bit like what I’m trying to do with mine, so you’re an inspiration for me 🙂 A travel blog is a great idea! I might add that to mine.

You should add Crans-Montana Switzerland to your places-to-go list! It’s the most beautiful place I have ever been in Europe.

YAY! A fellow travel-lover. I saw on your countdown that you’re studying abroad in Ireland. I did that a few years back and LOVED it. What college are you attending? Hopefully you’ll have the opportunity to travel to some of the other countries you have listed above. Travelling within Europe can be uber cheap! Best of luck!

I’ll be studying in Galway! 🙂 Where did you study?

      • movingforeword April 26, 2012 at 5:03 pm #

At Mary Immaculate college in Limerick (about 1.5 horus from Galway). My boyfriend is in a band based out of Limerick. They play in Galway every once and a while! You are going to have a blast.

      • ameliaclaire92 April 26, 2012 at 5:54 pm #

Oh fun! Did you meet your boyfriend while you were studying in Limerick? 🙂

      • movingforeword April 27, 2012 at 8:48 am #

        Sure did 🙂

      • Sarah May 3, 2012 at 5:11 pm #

I studied abroad in Galway five years ago! It was amazing, you’ll love it. I’d be happy to give you any tips if you need them. Have fun! 🙂

      • ameliaclaire92 May 3, 2012 at 5:15 pm #

Oh wow, that’s so cool. I’d love some suggestions on places to definitely go while I’m there…..like bookshops to not miss…as well as really great restaurants! 🙂 I can’t wait! 🙂

      • Sarah May 3, 2012 at 5:31 pm #

Eason’s was an awesome bookstore! And I remember there was a good burger place that was cheaper called Gourmet Burger on… Quay Street? And some cafe nearby that had amazing crepes. I’ll have to find my journal from back then and get back to you. Here’s a pic of Quay Street in the mean time! 🙂 http://www.flickr.com/photos/sarahleighann/3347830224/in/set-72157627523729042/lightbox/

I have always dreamed of living in the US, you are really lucky in my eyes. I have been fortunate to visit New York and Boston but my dream (and on the top of my bucket list) is to have a picnic overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I really hope you visit all the places you so wish to, the world can be amazing and sadly we probably don’t always appreciate the places closest to us.

    • ameliaclaire92 June 11, 2012 at 3:01 pm #

I know exactly what you mean. Thankfully, I am finally living in a place I love….the mountains of North Carolina. It’s so beautiful here. 🙂

  20. girltherapy June 11, 2012 at 3:14 pm #

Lol, my ex is from and lives on the border of South and North Carolina, (long story). I remember him talking endlessly about the black adders that slither everywhere? I am terrified of snakes so was thankful I never had to visit, bless.

    • ameliaclaire92 June 11, 2012 at 3:23 pm #

Haha, yeah I’m not a fan of snakes either, so I avoid them at all costs. Surprisingly, I actually have never seen a snake myself, except for the few times I’ve come across water moccasins when near a pond or stream.

How can you leave Africa, especially Zimbabwe from your list Lol! Anyway, it will be worthy the experience, especially for it being unique compared to all the other places. Never mind the gloomy and distressing news always flashed on tele, they are exxagerated in a number of times.
